Abandoned Pet Rescue has been taking in homeless animals in the Fort Lauderdale area for over 11 years now. While there, it was hard to ignore the endless kindness and patience towards the over 300 animals housed at the shelter that came so naturally to manager Tanya Forbes and truly set the standard for all who offer to volunteer their time.

Animals housed in Abandoned Pet Rescue are divided into the following:
Feline Babies- all cats who are under two years of age
Teenagers- cats that are 3-6 years of age
Adults- 6 years old and up
The dogs on the other hand are grouped by size. In addition, there are two rabbits also up for adoption.

All these animals are in desperate need of a warm, loving home. If you are unable to adopt a pet, you can still volunteer your services and come to do nothing more than give some love to these attention- starved pets.

For further information on upcoming fundraisers or to learn more about volunteering, donating or adopting a pet from Abandoned Pet Rescue, please visit their website at: http://www.abandoned-pet-rescue.com
